as good management

Riyad Mahrez has since
the season start been playing in the best way possible. He is sharp,
doing his job but also ready to leave if a top club comes in, so far
he is still a Leicester City player
Craig Shakespeare is holding on to his most
valuable asset, but strangely, no club has made the bid that could
be accepted. A fee of £ 50 million is what would have made a
Chelsea, Liverpool Man Utd and Barcelona, together with Tottenham
and Roma, are all reported to be in the chase, with only Roma
confirmed to have made an offer, but not in the region of what City
are looking for.
During the last couple of days Mahrez himself and his agent might
have thought that running around airports in Europe is more
important than playing for your country. To be that desperate of a
move shows how much Mahrez himself is eager to get away.
What does this story tells us, that both the national coach of
Algeria, Lucas Alcaraz and City manager Craig Shakespeare are being
let down, and how will the two react to this type of priority during
an international break. Who are consulting Mahrez ?
So is this the ideal player to have in a team, one that signals
highly in social media and by his travels that he is more or less
desperate to get away from a club that has treated him with great
respect and at the same time given him the real breakthrough in
Craig Shakespeare will get his management skills tested and what he
is saying so far, makes a bit of sence. By picking Mahrez in front
of other players he tells a story of how important Mahrez is for the
club and how highly he rates him.
Arsenal and Liverpool are other clubs that have experienced the same
this summer, with Coutinho and Sanchez both reported to be eager to
get away with moves blocked by their clubs.
The problem in all this is that Mahrez signed a long term contract
last summer, no club has made a bid to consider and maybe that bid
never will appear and Mahrez is stuck. Cannot understand the
thoughts of the player at all.
Hopefully Mr Mahrez will continue performing as well as he has done,
and we could hope that his desire to leave will vanish, but so far
he looks eager to get away, and to have such a player in the squad
could upset the harmony around the place.
We all know what Mahrez can do, would love him to stay, but with the
Drinkwater move, we all know what can happen if the bids comes in.
According to reports Mahrez is eager to get away again in January.
