Liverpool and Crystal Palace waiting on possible new bids from

Liverpool could get a
bid for their midfield veteran James Milner, as Leicester according
to several London tabloids prepare a January chase on Milner and
Palace winger Andros Townsend
The former England internationals, James Milner, with 61 caps is
still only 31 years of age. He has seen his chances limited at
Anfield this season. Milner is an ideal professional and one that
could give City real depth in midfield.
City have also been closely linked to another England international,
Andros Townsend. Townsend (26) would fit perfect if and when Riyad
Mahrez leaves the club. An alternative with experience and knowledge
of the Premier League.
The job for the next manager at Leicester
City will be to find the best blend possible of players. Get players
fit and in a system that makes us all believe in a climb towards the
top six again.
West Bromwich Albion goalscorer against Leicester on Monday,
Nacer Chadli, is another player that could be
tempted to sign in the January window. The 28 year old Belgian
international is a prospect that was on the radar in the summer.
We all hope to see Adrien Silva on the pitch when we turn January
and the Portugal international will be important for the new manager
as he builds a team for the rest of the season and also prepare the
squad for the next one.
City are ready to compete for players at this shelf. Those who are
down the pecking order at other "major" Premier League clubs, or in
a bit of a form dip, such as Townsend, struggling get back to the
level he was, when playing at Tottenham.
These are the main names at the momet with Middlesbrough youngster
Dael Fry also mentioned and a target to
consider. The rumour about Bacary Sagna signing looks a bit in the
air. What Sagna will do is not easy to say, he has been without a
club since leaving Man City in the summer.
We are still in October but the January window transfer rumours will,
as we are used to, start to circle early. You can follow up on all

We have for this window added a TCF Eye section with suggestions of
names that we feel could be "a good catch".
City are not in trouble when it comes to depth in squad, but for TCF
the squad looks a bit "flat". Players are either too simular or with
expectations not possible to fullfill. Shakespeare and maybe Ranieri
overlooked this when he brought in new players.
A lot of players are at the moment just going around not getting
first team action, expecting to get excactly that. Musa, Jakupovic
and Dragovic are terrible examples of players brought in that is
just training and expecting to play. This will add frustration to a
Playing in the Premier League is not a walk in the park, and if you
don't do it on a regular basis you will get rusty and if you are
going down in self confidence you will also limit yourself. You can
have one or two of that calibre.
A great squad is one with 8 to 9 players certain to play every game,
4 or 5 on the edge, competing for places, maybe one or two solid
experienced players not expecting to play every game.
The rest of the group must be youngsters, not really anything else
than emergency cover. Watching the U.23 side you can pick one or two
from that side to each game as a sub, they are good enough. To have
30 + players competing for places is too many and when you
disappoint 70 % of your squad, limiting them first team game time
you are in for a real disaster.
