West Ham 1 - Leicester 1, positives and negatives, player ratings and

A great start and a
great goal scored by Marc Albrighton after a pass from Jamie Vardy.
City were up and running after just seven minutes
The game twisted and turned during the first
half and to be honest West Ham were the better team, keeping most
pocession and at the same time being those showing most skill.
City had their oppertunities and kept their lead safely, but just
before half time, again bad marking made City suffer. In the 44th
minute it was time for a new and unnecessary goal against. Kasper
Schmeichel should have stayed on the line, and not gone in and out.
Cheik Koyatè gets to the ball first and wins a header in battle with
Wilfred Ndidi and Wes Morgan. The ball touches Danny Simpson on his
way into the net. 1-1 at half time.
2nd half was not one to be written about in the history books.
Mostly a midfield battle with few or any chances to both teams.
Riyad Mahrez tried to attack with the ball, but most of his attempts
were stopped by West Ham defenders.
Demarai Gray started his fourth game for City, but to be honest he
has not really been shining much since his the first one against
Everton. It's time to step up and be the player Claude Puel would
give new chances, or we would see changes in January.
Ndidi and Iborra had a chance to cement their partnership in the
middle, but again to many wrong passes gives few or no oppertunities
for Vardy up front. Vardy had a silent night at the London Stadium.
The fact that Claude Puel decided to take both Gray and Mahrez off,
shows in a way that he was ok with a point and to be honest, to get
anything from a game away is always a positive.
Chilwell came on for Mahrez, strengthening the team defensively and
Slimani was the one replacing Gray. A third substitution never came
and both Okazaki and Iheanacho had to sit the game out.
Not much happened in the 2nd half and with that in mind and looking
at it from distance, you could just go home and be satisfied with a
point and hopefully something to work on.
Taking the lead early, showing great attacking spirit in the first
Simpson and Albrighton working well together on the right side
No injuries, no yellow cards
51 % ball posesson away, shows that City are on the right track
City still unbeaten away under Puel

Getting a point away at a difficult arena is always a positve
Not able to keep a lead, letting it slip just before half time
Poor passing at times from central midfield
Mahrez not able to convert good intentions to constructive finishing
Gray looking lost and not really contributing the way would like
Not much happening in 2nd half, Vardy silent, one real goalscoring
