The best of Leicester's games this season

The season started for Leicester with Craig Shakespeare sitting in the dugout for the Foxes after a good run of form towards the end of last season.

Their first game of the season happens to be against one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in the league, Arsenal. This was a match that opened the 2017/2018 premier league season and it happen to be slated for a Friday night.

There could not have been a better day or venue to kick start the league than the Emirates. This was a very enjoyable match for the neutrals but one Fox fans will have wished it had gone the other way around. Arsenal won the game 4-3 but Leicester showed lot of promise in the game and that set the tone that great things might be in stock from the former premier league champions.

Things started going south for the
manager and he eventually lost his job late last year and Claude Puel was brought in to take over his role. At this point in time, we started seeing the best of Leicester once again. Interesting and dynamic play from the likes of Mahrez and Vardy.

They both were banging the goals and getting three points for the team. Wilfred Ndidi cemented his place in the Premier League as one of the best defensive midfielders in the league and Wes Morgan still remain as solid as ever.

Then comes four straight wins against Tottenham, Burnley, Newcastle and Southampton. It was the first and the last of those four games that captivated the fans more. And itís was very wise to include Leicester City when you
bet on football during that particular period of the season. Two first half goals from Vardy and Mahrez against Spurs made things easy going into the second half of the game.

Harry Kane was only able to score a goal which made the game ended in 2-1 in favour of Leicester at the King Power stadium. It was a game Leicester had control of and dominated. It was the early days of Claude Puel.

Another match that will be remembered by everyone at Leicester was the win at Saint Marys, the former home of their manager, Claude Puel. Puel was fired by Southampton at the end of last season after leading them to the finals of the Carabao cup. Now it was like a revenge and he was ready to put everything against Southampton, thanks to the form of Mahrez.

Three first half goals from Mahrez, Okazaki and King made it a smooth sailing Leicester. The second half was just to consolidate and run down the time to get their maximum three points.

However, they were unable to keep a clean sheet as Maya Yushida pulled one back before Okazaki got his second of the night to make it 4-1 in favor of the away side. It was a sweet victory that will live long in the mind of everyone at Leicester City.

The 5-1 away win the the FA cup also serve as one interesting match that should be saved among the matches of the season for Leicester City. Kelechi Iheanacho brave stands out in the game.
