Wilfred Ndidi is growing into a
brilliant Premier League midfielder. He will next summer be as hot as
Riyad Mahrez is, and allready Liverpool are reported to be eager to get
the Nigerian international to Anfield.
Demarai Gray is another player who is
likely to progress further and are more and more influential at a young
age. The England U.21 international is one of the young players signed
while Ranieri was in charge.
The additions of Ahmed Musa, Nampalys Mendy
and Islam Slimani are all out on loan at
other clubs at the moment, and few will describe those signings as
massive and brilliant, but Ranieri also have the brilliant signing of
N'Golo Kantè on his cv.
Ranieri joined Leicester late July 2015. You could say that many of the
moves done over the summer in 2015 was not his, but done by Steve Walsh
who also spotted Jamie Vardy and
Riyad Mahrez. Walsh did great things at
Leicester, but Nigel Pearson and Claudio was the two in charge.
We all know the names of Musa, Mendy and Slimani all appeared on the
Leicester City radar long before Claudio Ranieri took charge and those
connections were fully established and the moves would at some stage
happen, and they did in the summer of 2016.
Talks are that the former Leicester manager should be statued, a bit
early for that probably, but again he didn't just win the Premier League
with Leicester, he also signed three fantastic players, and two of them
are still very much in the plans of current manager
The stats on Wilfred Ndidi is
magnificant. His defensive record and tackling abillity is well
documented and if he continues to progress he could be a sensation in
the World Cup this summer.
