Leicester City management changes, transfer rumours and talk

DATE: 01.07.2018 - THE CUNNING FOX - BLOG

A bit of a surprise to see Michael Appleton on his way out at Leicester City, as he has done a proper job assisting both Craig Shakespeare and Claude Puel

Michael Appleton arrived last summer, leaving his current post as manager of Oxford United. He had also a short period in charge after the sacking of Craig Shakespeare, taking controll with an unbeaten run of games before Claude Puel was appointed.

Claude Puel has now appointed experienced coach Jacques Bonnevay as his new assistant. Pascal Planque, Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler will be the group of people who will be involved in first team affairs.

Michael Appleton is rumoured to be one of the candidates to assist Darren Moore at West Bromwich. Moore had a great run at the end of last season and will of course try as much as possible to get The Baggies back to the Premier League as fast as possible.

Rumours about new players coming in, are there all the time. New names in the hat this weekend is
Niclas Fullkrug from Hannover and Yassin Ben El-Mhanni who is currently with Newcastle.

After a good performance from
Ahmed Musa at the World Cup, news are that he will be getting a chance to impress Claude Puel when reporting back from pre-season. He looked as a player with no future at Leicester City before the games in Russia.

We will just have to wait and see how Puel will organise his team and what type of system he will be using with pre-season games coming up in the near future. Games against Notts County, Valencia and Lille are allready in place.

In the World Cup, both
Adrien Silva and Ricardo Pereira got the chance from start for Portugal v. Uruguay. Uruguay were the better team and won 2-1, and the two Leicester City players are soon reporting for back for pre-season.

Kasper Schmeichel will with his Denmark play Croatia and Andrej Kramaric this Sunday. Both players could be vital for the countries in this special clash.

Harry Maguire, Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki are also still in the World Cup, with games coming up for England and Japan on Monday and Tuesday.
