Will Leicester City be able to replace Mahrez, or will a new flirt
with relegation be the real deal at King Power

No one expected Riyad Mahrez to stay
after this transfer window and the money received is a good rise
from what was predicted last summer, a fee of £ 60 million is not
bad, but again worries are in the sky
Leicester made history two seasons ago, winning the Premier League,
but the three other campaigns in the top flight, since coming back
up, has been a flirt with relegation, a great number of management
changes and great escapes.
Will Claude Puel, without Riyad Mahrez,
really be able to build anything, anything at all. Of course as fans
you have to stay positive and believe that the club can move forward
despite the loss of one of the best players in the Premier League.
The money spent by Puel this summer is not showing any sign of a
player replacing Riyad. Jonny Evans,
Ricardo Pereira and
James Maddison are not players who
can be seen as a Mahrez replacement.
The past at Leicester City, regarding big
money moves are more talk of great disasters than fantastic
signings, and money cannot be said to have been well spent all the
The recent recruitment at Leicester City is close to a disaster if
you look at the money spent and how players have been used and
developed over the last two seasons.
Wilfred Ndidi and
Harry Maguire can be rated as great,
Vicente Iborra is also one to see as
a success. The rest of the pack is not either given a real chance or
getting to a level being able to replace those who did so well two
When you start to spend big money on players you know will struggle
to get in the starting line-up, don't do it, and again use money on
the players you believe you need to replace those who are going out,
it's only quality that counts, not quantity.
Puel has at the moment close to
you would regard as potential
first team material, and when more than 50 % of your squad is a
group of frustrated players not being able to be counted, since only
11 will be picked to each game than you are in great trouble.
Puel must start his cleaning up as soon as possible get his squad
down to the numbers needed, and sell of players or loan them out,
just to get all your thoughts sorted and not having to deal with
players you never will use in your first team.
Tcf is worried about the situation, believe that Puel has a grand
job in front of him and hopefully he will not start a full rotation
of around 40 players then the relegation red lights will blink all
over King Power.
