A crucial transfer window coming up for Brendan Rodgers and Leicester City, no room for mistakes

Nigel Pearson did few or no big transfer mistakes while in charge of Leicester City, the same can be said about Martin O’Neill, pinning most of his moves in the perfect way, while other managers have struggled a lot in their time in charge.

Since Leicester won the Premier League three seasons ago, mistake after mistake has been done, and out of almost 30 transfers very few have been what you would describe as a great success. A success is happening when a player is signed to the job he is supposed be filling and his fee is according to that.

So looking back you will of course find some good once in the last six windows, but a number of the moves are not seen as good and a lot of money has been splashed out and today seen as waste of money.

The sales of N’Golo Kant√®, Danny Drinkwater and Riyad Mahrez are of course covering those mistakes big time, by cashing in on the international stars. We believe that everyone will stay confident in Brendan Rodgers and no one in the first team will move.

Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell are both players linked with bigger clubs, and sales must be done to fund a possible move for Youri Tielemans to be able to deal with the financial fair play rules and also getting the right balance in the squad.

Brendan Rodgers knows he have a good squad and a first eleven that don’t need to be shaken up, that is why money this time cannot be splashed out on reserves and players not really seen as first teamers.

Looking at the players linked you know that non of them are really “big money” moves in the way we see Youri Tielemans. With the recent rumour about Stephan El Sharawy, you understand that a free agent can be one to go for. The Roma utility player would be a perfect signing, and one that could slot in perfectly, he will also be in the right age and one who could be eager to try out Premier League football.

Leicester will not do many changes to their first team squad and keep a group of players that over a period of time now looks as a better and better unit with a bit of a generation change really done and more or less in place.

We would believe that when the squad of 25 is announced in front of next season, we might find four maybe five new names in there, and one of them hopefully being Youri Tielemans. Would be great to see Stephan El Sharawy also as one of them.

Why Leicester will win this transfer race, Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs cannot compete with the same guarantee

English pundits are often out talking up the top six clubs and believe they can attract players just because they have a certain badge. That is no longer the situation, and players are out to play football, not sit in the stands, or on the bench.

After watching how players like Alexis Sanchez, Danny Drinkwater and Riyad Mahrez have been treated at their current “top six clubs” those playing well in teams below will of course watch and see what can happen.

A move to a new club, after doing well somewhere else is a huge risk and you can end up in the stands or as best on the bench. Youri Tielemans is in great form at the moment playing in a team where he is perfect, getting the support he needs from Wilfred Ndidi and today against Arsenal also getting defensive cover from Hamza Choudhury.

Tielemans is perfect for Leicester, and this young man knows that. He is a player that would probably drown at Man Utd, with a Paul Pogba doing this job and Tielemans would be a cover, why should Man Utd sign him, he is the one doing the creative job at Leicester, so no, Man Utd will probably not go for Tielemans.

Leicester also at the moment have Adrien Silva at Monaco, and his presence there is pleasing the club and fans. He is totally different type of player than Tielemans and the loan swop has worked well in both camps.

Both parties are interested in doing this deal, and we believe that Tottenham, Man Utd or Arsenal will not use ¬£40 million on a player they don’t really have a plan for. Youri Tielemans is young guy, who had problems with adapting to the role he was given at Monaco and he never really played well. At Leicester he has slotted in perfectly in a role similar to the one he had at Anderlecht.

His presence at Leicester is fantastic, and the way Tielemans celebrates after scoring the first goal against Arsenal shows that he has deep belief in the project going on at King Power at the moment, with the belief that Brendan Rodgers can really challenge the top six next season.

A lot of the players at Leicester are very young, blended with a few experienced characters and with another season together they will be a handfull and probably be a better team all together than the one winning the league title a few years back.

We would be very surprised to see Tielemans joining Arsenal, Tottenham or Man Utd with the players they have at their disposal in the role of Tielemans, and cannot really see a picture of those clubs paying such a fee for one they would probably see as a random used player.

Tielemans “consultants” would advice a player of his young age to play football week in and week out in the best league in the World, in his preferred position at a club were everyone loves him and believe in him, than risk another move to a “bigger” club that will not hand him the chances needed.

TCF believe that the move for Tielemans will be completed by Leicester as soon as an agreement is made with Adrien Silva and that a swop will be happening with both parties getting what they want.

Leicester linked with League One star, and could this young 24 year old be on the foxes transfer radar

Leicester is again linked with a new player, Luton defender James Justin. The 21 year old England C international is one that has impressed for The Hatters in their recent rise from Non-league to Championship football.

There are in the past several players who have been able to take the climb from League 1 to Premier League football and settle in quickly, while others have failed and their transfers are stamped bad management.

In the past you have players such as Neil Lennon and Robbie Savage who both joined Leicester from Crewe, and made a place for themselves at the highest level, growing from their experience and taking the level without using much time.

Another very interesting player who has been linked with a number of Championship clubs is Jamal Lowe. Portsmouth picked him up from Non-League team Hampton & Richmond Borough back in 2017 and he has since been a great asset.

Lowe played a handful of games for Barnet before he had to take the step down and rebuild his career, faling to find a club in the League system at first. He is just the perfect signing for Leicester, an attacking winger who score goals, that is the perfect man.

We believe that Leeds, Cardiff and Wigan are the front runners in the chase, but the “computer science” at LCFC should pick up this guy and really have a look at the skills and type, to see if he fits to be in the squad of Brendan Rodgers.

His tally of goals at Hampton & Richmond Borough is class, 29 in 49 league games. He has followed that up with 25 in 103 league games for Portsmouth. This is the latest of transfer talk this Wednesday.

He is one of the key players in the rebuild of Portsmouth under the management of Kenny Jackett, and if you can be a vital player in that type of rise, you should be one to watch.
