The only Norwegian to play for Leicester City, Liverpool forward linked and the summer of 74!

Today is the birthday of former Leicester City loanee Kjetil Osvold. The Norwegian turns 58, and had a short spell at Filbert Street back in 1987.

Osvold has a type og iconic status in Norway, since he scored and clowned Diego Maradona with a tunnel in a 1-0 win in 1986, just weeks before Argentina were crowned World Cup winners.

Osvold played in a number of clubs and had a short period in his career with Nottingham Forest, signed by the legend Brian Clough, where he came om loan to Leicester.

Daniel Sturridge could follow his uncle Dean and signal for Leicester City. Dean Sturridge joined from Derby and moved to Wolves. Daniel could be a good signing and hopefully ad more options to Brendan Rodgers.

The Nations League finals Are close with England playing Holland om Thursday. Ben Chilwell and Harry Maguire could both start. Back in the summer of 1974 three other Leicester City players, Keith Weller, Peter Shilton and Frank Worthington all played in games for The Three Lions. David Nish and Allan Clarke also had parts to play in that England det up under caretaker boss Joe Mercer.

Clarke and Nish both had left Leicester City for record transfer fees and joined Leeds and Derby.
