  • Kjetil Osvold
    • Few might remember the former Nottingham Forest and PAOK midfielder who spend a month or so on loan at Leicester City in 1987. The only Norwegian player to ever have appeared for the club, is an iconic figure in Norway, scoring the winner in the 1-0 win over Argentina in 1986, (who later that summer won the World Cup), he also performed a nutmeg on Diego Maradona in the very same game
  • Peter Shilton
    • Grabbed the headlines when he did make a return to professional football and reached more than 1000 league games while playing for Leyton Orient. He was of course setting the record as the oldest player to have appeared in goal for The O’s, but few might know that “Shilts” also holds this record at Bolton Wanderers were he at the age of 45 played two games, one in the league and one in the play-off’s.
  • Jon Sammels
    • A number of former foxes moved over the pond til play in the NASL, so did Jon Sammels. He never won a single trophy with Leicester City, but at Vancouver Whitecaps he was part of the team that won the league championship in 1979. Two other former foxes, Gary Mills and Roger Davies who both appearead in the 1982 final, but had to see themselves defeated with Seattle Sounders as New York Cosmos won 1-0.
  • Black & White
    • The player with most league appearances for Leicester City is player from a few years back, being part of the legendary runners-up team from 1929. Black was a Scottish full back that played 528 times and by that has been a record holder since the early 1930’s. His name was black, but he was white colored. Wintson White did play a few games for Leicester City in the late 70’s and carved out a good career at many clubs in the lower leagues after leaving Filbert Street as a youngster. White was black colored and that is the story of Leicester City’s Black & White.
  • Gordon Banks
    • He is actually the only British goalkeeper to have won a World Cup winners medal. Hugo Lloris is the only goalkeeper together with Gordon Banks to have won a World Cup final playing for a British club, representing Tottenham Hotspur.
  • Tommy Christensen
    • The Dane is the first foreign player to appear in the Leauge for Leicester City. The Danish forward on the “fringe” at international level never had a long stay, but indeed became the first with his two league appearances, all happening back in 1985
  • Ashley Chambers
    • Today still a professional at Kidderminster Harriers, still only 30 years of age, but looks as he will be the youngest ever player to appear for the Leicester City first team, 15 years and 203 days, for a long time. He made his debut in the League Cup v. Blackpool back in 2005.

Leicester City in advanced talks with exciting prospect, Barcelona could jump at a possible triple deal

According to certain sources Leicester City are in advanced talks with Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho. We have earlier listed the player in our rumor list and it’s not lastest news regarding the interest for the former Sporting star.

So who is William Carvalho. 27 years of age, Portugal international with 59 caps for his country. He joined Real Betis in 2018, and so far played 39 games, never scored. He has previous to his move to Spain played on loan at Cercle Brugge and Fatima during his time at Sporting, where he made his debut in 2011 and played 143 league games and scored 10 goals, before his €16million move to Betis took place.

He is currently on a five year contract and additional fees could be in line as the contract is running further. This could be the reason for his relatively low amount of games tally and that a move could be on, because that would see cash run through and possibly get the money in full that Sporting could be entitled to if such a move takes place.

He is a certain starter in the Portugal national team and was part of the team that won the 2016 Euro’s and also playing in the final of last years Nations League. Brendan Rodgers is said to have chased the Portuguese international also during his time at Liverpool and was close to a signing in 2015.

A key to get Carvalho on board at Leicester City could involve Adrien Silva and Islam Slimani who both are linked with Carvalho’s previous club Sporting. Silva and Slimani are valued to a joint fee of £30million, which again could be part of a deal and a total package of in full as Betis would have to pay compensation to Sporting if a move goes through.

Another rumor that needs to be addressed is the one regarding Philippe Coutinho and if Leicester City will play in the Champions League next season it could be possible that a few big names could see their route to King Power open. He has spend this season with Bayern Munich, but it looks as his days at Camp Nou is close to an end.

We just have to wait and see if the move will be on, but it could with a couple of full backs being noticed by “Barca” as targets, seeing one of the two, Ben Chilwell or Ricardo Pereira being part of a deal or just a swop.

Riyad Mahrez could also play a key part in a deal for Philippe Coutinho if Manchester City will let him leave and that Leicester City will also get percentages of that move and help finance a permanent deal for Philippe Coutinho. This could be the reason why Leicester City are favorites to get a deal going through.

Ten fantastic “talents” to watch, will Leicester City act in the transfer market

Leicester City might be among the best clubs to find the best talents, either out in French lower leagues or in the hidden departments of English football. So where will “the rabit jump” this spring and summer. One that is really a “hidden secret” is our very own Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, please Brendan Rodgers, give this man a chance.

Looking a bit in the “hidden corners” you have a number of players that could be potential “diamonds” as we did see with the two James’s, Justin and Maddison, signed from Luton Town and Norwich City.

Both players are “diamonds” and we believe that James Justin will follow James Maddison into become a full England international. If Brendan Rodgers decide to let either Ricardo Pereira or Ben Chilwell move on, Justin should be given a run in the first team and we will most certainly see a new England international in the making.

Leicester City do have Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who at the moment is out on loan to Blackpool, and his talent is of course among those 10 to watch. He is a clever passer of the ball, has a great vision and can also score goals from midfield. We know that Brendan Rodgers is fully aware of his talent and hopefully he will get a chance, and be among a group of five midfielder to fight for three places in the midfield.

24 year old Said Benrahma currently with Brentford is a right winger to watch, a player that could see his best years in the Premier League coming. He has currently scored 20 goals in 72 league games for The Bees. The Algerian international will most certainly be on his way somewhere soon.

The current front runners in League One, Coventry City also have a number of talented players, and as we all know the place were James Maddison started out. Zain Westbrook left Brentford to join Coventry and his presence at Sky Blues is a key to their current success. The 23 year old has shined this season and should be watched by a number of clubs as he progress.

22 year old Ademola Lookman is one player that has been a bit in the shadows as his presence at Everton and now Red Bull Leipzig has not really made him progress. With other players being preferred at both clubs he could be, still only 22, one to watch as his potential looks huge. His start at Leipzig was phenomenal, scoring 5 in 11 games, but since signing a full contract things have not been as planned.

So who will be the next “Virgil Van Dijk” and were do we find such a player in the making. Are there anyone in English football that could go all the way and become as good as the Liverpool defender.

A player to watch is 19 year old forward Rhian Brewster. The player is still Liverpool property but currently on loan at Swansea where he has scored 4 goals in 11 games since joining in January. This is an exciting player that maybe Liverpool will be willing to off load as he might not be ready for the first team at Anfield just yet. He is one of those England players from that U.17 World Cup winning team, so he should be followed and watched over a period of time.

Leicester City needs to look other places to find players and are often linked with players abroad. The list is of course updated with those mentioned. But again to have a squad with too many foreigners is a bit of difficulty as they often looks at Leicester City as a stepping stone for other chances in higher places.

Jonathan Panzo still only 19 years of age and at the moment on loan from Monaco to Cercle Brugge. The young defender should be watched closely and be on a short list of possible signings together with Manchester United’s youngster Axel Tuanzebe and Chelsea talent Fikayo Tomori who both could see their careers flourish getting a chance at Leicester City.

There are of course a number of talented players at Chelsea that soon will get tired of being just seen as fringe players, with the names Ruben Loftus-Cheek is in a place that could see a possible move possible.

Manchester United also have a jewel in Mason Greenwood who at the moment must be waiting and not being seen as a regular first teamer, clubs such as Leicester City, West Ham and Everton will of course monitor the situation.

So here are our list of talents to watch

  • Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
  • Said Benrahma
  • Zain Westbrook
  • Ademola Lookman
  • Rhian Brewster
  • Jonathan Panzo
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek
  • Mason Greenwood
  • Axel Tuanzebe
  • Fikayo Tomori
