Brendan Rodgers nursed forward talent at Celtic that of course are looking at their former boss with fond memories and would love to join him wherever he goes, but it could also be other dream options that you might not have considered at all.
The current progress of the Norwegian youngsters Martin Ødegaard and Erling Braut Haaland could see Real Madrid also looking at an addition of Celtic central defender Kristoffer Ajer, who has been linked with a move to Leicester City.
Sky Sports, Guillem Balague is a well informed reporter. His knowledge and in depth understanding of the footballing culture is well known, and his statement earlier about the Real Madrid “brand plan” is one very interesting. They are looking for new “icons” to be part of the long term future of the club, and to see three great talents developing together from the same nation, might be an idea to explore.
The team build around Cristiano Ronaldo is slowly starting to melt into something new, but so far the stars of that team is not yet identified as the club are trying to work their way forward as the “brand” Real Madrid with “icons” on the field are well taken care off.
The club owns Martin Ødegaard and they have their eyes set on Erling Braut Haaland and to add Kristoffer Ajer to the squad would be an ideal setup as to further build their brand with the three Norwegian players being part of that.
They are all three very special talents, different, but at their age allready very experienced in the World of professional football and they have tested almost all levels of the game from playing in the Norwegian top flight since they were in their mid teens, and from there tasting life at clubs in Austria, Germany, Holland, Spain and Scotland.
Leicester City would not get there hands on either Martin Ødegaard or Erling Braut Haaland, and if Brendan Rodgers is ready to bring in Ajer he might be turned down by his former pupil as he would of course make a dream move to Real Madrid. Over here in Norway, no one is talking about a possible move to Leicester City as an option at all for Ajer, with AC Milan being the only other club mentioned for now.
