New kit on the block, FBS, who are you? Barcelona?, fans talk and their verdicts

Leicester City revealed their new kit for the game v. Tottenham as is usual in the last game of the season, has been for a while. The colours are classical blue shirt, white shorts, blue stockings, and with Adidas as supplier, you have the quality.

Not to easy to get everything fresh and wonderful everytime with a new flaming pattern this time, with different shades of blue in there. The kit started to look fantastic when Jamie Vardy scored twice and it looked as “luck”, but it all soured towards the end, nothing to do with the kit, but if that kit had taken us into the Champions League you would have loved it all the way, but now with the result, you will think, that was the one that was used when losing out on the CL places.

King Power on the front is gone, FBS is the new shirt sponsor. So who are they, a currency broker, working in the international forex business. They are also a sponsor of Barcelona, and of course it’s something new for the fans to have a look at with the sleeve sponsor just being the same as last season, BIA Saigon.

So the combination money and beer should be the fix for next season, hopefully it will work out wonderfully and if we finish 5th in the PL and are picking up the FA Cup again, no one would complain.

We are now looking forward to the summer, waiting on the reserve kit and the 3rd kit as they will be shown soon and hopefully do have interesting looks and colours. Could it be mint or other new colours, who knows, we are looking forward anyway.

So what does the fans think about the new kit,

Despite the fact that it’s not a TCF favorite, many fans really like the new kit, a few reactions from the Foxes Talk forum,

Pliskin says, it’s genuinely really nice, LCFC1996 compare the look to Bukta, Bennytwohats, have the same view as TCF, Not a fan, but i’m sure it will grow on me,

Anyway always a thrill to get something new, the keeper kits are in black, green and yellow, nicely fitting Kasper Schmeichel and hopefully Danny Ward will be good in it too.

Leicester 2, Tottenham 4, positives and negatives, player ratings, and match report

We all knew what the deal was before this last game of the season, a must win, and Tottenham Hotspur is not the easiest of opponents. Great to see all the fans back at King Power, and they had a good time for most of the game, but as we all know it ended in disaster. A new shirt on show, with flames in blue, not the best I have seen, but again we will have another at the same time next year.

First half started with the ball floating around mostly in the middle of the park with Tottenham taking an early advantage, but slowly Leicester came more and more into the game. And after 18 minutes Leicester and Jamie Vardy got rewarded with a clear penalty, first ignored by the referee, but with VAR it was a different story. Vardy converted easily from the penalty spot.

But then maybe the worst that could happen was the Wesley Fofana had to leave the field with an injury, and the choice Brendan Rodgers made, was taken out of thin air, not to understand, moving Wilfred Ndidi back in defence and destroying the balance in midfield. Why Papy Mendy suddenly was the answer is a riddle to understand, not being on the field for many games this year.

It all ended first half giving Tottenham the chance to score, and of course as always Harry Kane was the difference scoring the goal and then it was 1-1. Irritating to not be able to hold on to a wonderful lead and no offense to Papy Mendy, but he is not playing the same game as Wilfred Ndidi and his tackling is not at a level that would see him as a natural replacement. Ndidi was still on the field but pushed down in defense.

Leicester came out second half with power and managed to keep momentum as much as it was possible and they were lucky when Jamie Vardy again was pulled down inside the penalty box, a new chance to score from penalty spot was used the best way possible, great convertion gain.

As we could see other results also going in Leicester’s favour with Aston Villa taking the lead at home to Chelsea and suddenly being 2-1 up a new chance Champions League looked obvious.

Waiting on Brendan Rodgers to plug the midfield and defensive door on Spurs and put on a replacement for Kelechi Iheanacho who had his worst day in football this season, but instead Rodgers did nothing, kept Kelechi on the field and just let his 4-4-2 or what it was, live and running.

While waiting on a move that would have pushed Maddison up behind Jamie Vardy and giving Praet or Choudhury a chance to work hard in midfield, Pereira was pushed on and Maddison taken off, not to understand when you lead 2-1, would rather see a central midfield player with a tighter midfield to try to secure a win when you have less than a quarter left of the game, but again not the worst of decision to bring on Ricardo, could have moved in to the centre though, but not to understand than you still play with two up front, strange.

Then the massive disaster happened with a terrible mistake by Kasper Schmeichel boxing the ball into his own net from a Tottenham corner, going out in a battle with Sanchez. 2-2 and again a massive blow, because of bad point marking on set pieces, for God sake why are no one doing a better job when play for Champions League places?

Towards the end Brendan Rodgers made his changes bringing on Ayoze Perez as his last trick, but it didn’t work well as Spurs introduced Gareth Bale, who was in a killer mood and destroyed Leicester with two late goals.

To notice, Wes Morgan had his minutes out after the game and got a chance to wave goodbye to fans, sad moment really, but also to understand at the age of 37, goodbye Wes, it’s been a joy to watch how Leicester have evolved under that time you captained this club, a great player, a special captain and getting his hands on the FA Cup as well as the Premier League trophy might not have been in his wildest dreams when joining Leicester City for a fee of £1million from Nottingham Forest almost a decade ago.

Will Rosenborg “Hat Trick Hero” be back on Leicester City wish list

A few seasons ago when Kristoffer Zachariassen was at Sarpsborg he was linked with a move to Leicester City. He has since then joined Rosenborg and been involved in the Europa League, a key player at Lerkendal.

The start of the season has been fantastic under former Norwich City and Man City player and Danish and Norwegian national coach “Oggie” Hareide. “Oggie” knows how to develop players and bring them on to new heights, and with Zachariassen it’s the same.

Yesterday in the home game v. Brann, Rosenborg were 2-1 down, with Zachariassen the goalscorer of that 1-0 leading goal. Towards the end of the 2nd half Brann had the lead but two great goals from Kristoffer Zachariassen turned the result in favor of Rosenborg finishing the game as 3-2 winners.

Zachariassen (27) is born in Bergen, played a number of seasons at former 2nd tier club Nest Sotra, before making his move to Sarpsborg in 2017 and in 2020 travelling on to Rosenborg and today among the best players in the Norwegian Eliteserien. We have seen a lot of moves happening from Norwegian clubs, Erling Braut Haaland and Jens Petter Hauge doing moves out and really taking the steps directly from that level to the next, Haaland signing for Red Bull Salzburg and later Borussia Dortmund, Hauge currently at AC Milan.

Could it be time that someone followed Kjetil Osvold, the only Norwegian to have played for Leicester City, Kristoffer Zachariassen will not be with Rosenborg for long if this type of form continues, to score 5 league goals in 4 appearances so far is just a phenomenal tally for a midfielder.
