Dramatic involvement as Leicester City players and transfer targets enters Euro’s competition

Kasper Schmeichel made his 66th appearance for Denmark v. Finland yesterday as his tally by far makes him the most capped player at Leicester City. Yesterday might have been the most dramatic of them all as his team mate Christian Eriksen collapsed during the game and was sent to hospital. The outfall was never what to expect, surprisingly seeing Finland as winners, taking three points from their 1-0 victory, getting a good start to they first ever Euro finals campaign.

Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans were both in the starting eleven as Belgium took on Russia and showed class in their impressive 3-0 win, but it was not to be a top afternoon for the Leicester City defender as he had to leave the field after just 27 minutes with an ugly eye injury, making this his only and final game of the tournament. The third Leicester City man in the Belgian squad, Dennis Praet, entered the field in the 77th minute and contributed to Belgiums solid performance.

Thorgan Hazard and Dedryk Boyata are both seen as possible targets for Leicester City, Hazard of Borussia Dortmund, being linked a few weeks back. Dedryk Boyate is at the moment also playing in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin, as the 30 year old, previously with Celtic and Man City, shows quality in an area were strengthening is vital for Leicester City this season.

Turkey came up against Roberto Mancini’s Italy as the former Leicester City player and Man City manager has transformed this nations national team into a beast. People were not impressed with Turkey’s performance, but the way Italy is expressing themselves will give every other nation in this tournament big problems. Caglar Soyuncu didn’t have his best day at the office. Cengiz Under was also involved coming on second half and trying, but it was against a very difficult opponent.

Juventus defender Merih Demiral who has been heavily linked with a move to Leicester City was unfortunate to score an own goal as it turned out to be the catalyst for a massive win for the Italians. Another foxes target Ozan Kabak was an unused sub for Turkey and maybe Brendan Rodgers should look at a few Italians as they were heavily superior in this game.

Danny Ward made a number of great saves as his Wales played Switzerland and managed a 1-1 draw. Leicester City linked flank midfielder Daniel James also showed class and it might be an idea to bring in this player as he could fill in and give something else to a Leicester City team that would benefit from such a pacy and tricky alternative.
