Patson Daka made history with his four goals v. Spartak Moscow, being the first to do so in Europe with Leicester, and also the first to score a hat-trick for the club in such a tournament. A great prospect and as we all know a proven goalscorer with RB Salzburg in the past, good to see him getting his opportunites. He is also joint top scorer in Europe in total with his four goals.
When such a game appear you start to think of goal scoring records at this football club, with many of them looking unreal, but still are there to be broken.
Embed from Getty ImagesJamie Vardy is still very much part of the club and do have many goals yet to score, but impressive enough at this date standing 4th in the all time goalscoring record book at the club with a total of 154 goals so far, but to reach Arthur Chandler at the top with 273 in total will not happen.
Jamie Vardy is the one we look at today when the season is finished and we add up the goals as he has been the top goalscorer at the club in the last six seasons, and he also holds the record of most successive goalscoring games, hitting 13 in 11 games in the 2015/16 season. He is also keeping the record of most league goals scored in a Premier League season, hitting 24, also happening in 2015/16.
Patson Daka did look like a record breaker in many ways but there are other players who have hit four in the past, and the last to do so was Derek Hines back in 1958, so a long time ago. In the past 60 years Daka is the one holding the record and you have to go all the way back to 1963 to find a hat-trick scored faster, when Ken Keyworth in 6 minutes against Manchester United made his historical hat-trick, but according to the official records no one has yet to beat Fred Shinton, who in 1909 against Oldham Athletic scored his three in just 5 minutes.

This was a 2nd tier season and to find the top goalscorer of the 1st tier prior to the Premier League years you have to look back to 1927/28 when Arthur Chandler made an impressive tally of 34 goals.
Most goals in a game scored is a equal tally of 5 between Johnny Duncan and Arthur Chandler. Duncan scoring his goals in November 1924 v. Port Vale and Arthur Chandler four years later, in 1928, against Portsmouth.
The youngest goalscorer at the club is David Buchanan, scoring at the age of 16 years and 192 days. The game was against Oldham on the 1st of January 1979. The oldest goalscorer to date is Kevin Phillips, who at the age of 40 years and 233 days scored against Blackpool.
The quickest goal ever did hit the net after just 9 seconds, Matty Fryatt was the scorer in a game v. Preston on the 15th of April 2006. Matty Fryatt is also the only top goalscorer for the club in the 3rd tier as he hit the net 27 times. You also have the most scoring debutant in Archie Gardiner who on the 21st of February 1934 scored 4.
As we do write the list you will find out that Arthur Rowley is the player with most penalty scored with a tally of 41. Arthur Chandler is the player with most hat-tricks with a totally absurd tally of 17.
Some extraordinary goal stats to look at is of course if goalkeepers have scored for the club and to count you will find two, Peter Shilton scoring from a long punt in a game v. Southampton on the 14th of October 1967. The other one was far back in the Fosse days, coming from a Herbert Bown penalty on the 3rd of March 1917.

Good to see Patson Daka following Jamie Vardy, Arthur Chandler and Arthur Rowley among Leicester City greatest goalscorers of all time, really enjoyable.
