Leicester were linked with Flynn Downes, but honestly looks to have made his move to Crystal Palace. A medical is what is said to be the final hurdle as Selhurst Park will be his new home ground.
With reports of Youri Tielemans, Hamza Choudhury, Dennis Praet and Boubakary Soumare all being seen as possible departures there will be options for new midfielders to arrive.
Feyenoord Orkun Kokcu is now said to be in advanced talk with Leicester. He has been chased for a long period of time and was also a close target in January. Kokcu is only 21 years of age and after playing internationally at youth level for Holland made his choice to play for Turkey at full international level and to date made 16 apearances after his debut vs. Serbia back in 2020.
The fee is not yet agreed but this move is said to be on wait until a number of players are departing from Leicester with Dennis Praet and Bauba Soumare looking to be the first to exit. Other clubs of interest such as Arsenal have done other moves in the market and opened space for Leicester to move in for those targets still available.
Rennes midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud is a player that now looks as a first arrival with a bid of £8million said to be tabled. Bourigeaud is also a midfielder and with that in mind competition for places will be heavy in that area as Brendan Rodgers carefully decides what his moves will be.
