Paul Appiah has been training and played games in pre-season with Leicester. He was earlier this summer released by Aston Villa as their young and promising defender was surprisngly not given a new chance at Villa Park.

He was involved in the pre-season friendly vs. Notts County and has since played for the development team as they also prepare a new season coming up.

We do believe that Paul Appiah will be a Leicester player next season and his tall presence might be much needed in a young squad prepared for a U.21 Premier League 2 season.

Appiah is also among the players travelling to Preston for their pre-season friendly today and could be involved in that game not likely to start but getting minutes towards the end..

Last summer Lewis Brunt joined the club from Aston Villa and other development players has seen their careers elsewhere being on a stop and moved to Leicester. Hughes and Ewing are others coming in from Manchester United who also will see their chance this afternoon as they are looking for minutes in the game vs Preston.

Lewis Brunt has so far not featured in any games for Leicester and we do not have any record on him as uncertainty regarding his future is there. George Hirst is another player not to show as we do like to see them both or get any sort of info on them as their future might be elswe
