Brendan Rodgers must be very pleased with everything so far in pre-season. From a soft start against Notts Co and good preperations at the training camp in Evian, France, it’s been a positive campaign so far.
The group looks to have done good preperations and so far we do see signs of heavy improvement and hopefully players will avoid any knocks vs. Sevilla as season can start in the best way possible.
All players looks to have build better self as they move for a new challenge this season. Still a number of issues to solve, but in all it looks harmonic and players looks satisfied with their progress. No reports of injuries and a grand group of players to pick from.
We do believe that Youri Tielemans will be gone when the game vs. Brentford kicks-off and his season preperations looks very much like the one we did see with Harry Maguire a few years back taking part in pre-season at Leicester and then when the deal with Manchester United became acceptable making his move and being part of the action at Old Trafford.
Tielemans is still regarded as a Leicester player in full and as life just continues without any transfer deal in place he is a captain alternative as fourth among those seeing Schmeichel, Vardy and Evans as a trio in front of him. With them all being involved at Preston on Saturday and Tielemans being at Derby it was natural to let him continue with his job as business are almost usual without any confirmed changes.
Of course in football moves and transfers can happen fast and a lot of rumours do fly in and around, but we believe the priority will be to get the Youri Tielemans situation sorted and give him a good farewell as his time at the club looks up.
As TCF predicted Monaco are not after a loan act as they will try to replace Fabregas and Tchouameni. Brendan Rodgers do know why he signed Bouba Soumare last summer and in pre-season played him as a first team alternative alongside Maddison and KDH. He has responded with great promise as we could have another massive player taking steps this season. Monaco is yet to make a big move for a midfielder so we just have to wait and see what happens.
To see many new faces coming in at the club in the next few weeks looks almost unreal and we all know the quality of the current squad so being able to pick players of this unit must be great news for Brendan Rodgers.
To also have Dennis Praet available could be looked at with interesting eyes as his presence will certainly be of advantage and with Tielemans gone his chances of playing could be rising to a level that might see him consider Leicester as an option next season.
