Leicester and others missing out as CSKA Sofia signs most promising player in Norwegian football

Leicester were linked with former Sarpsborg midfielder Kristoffer Zachariassen a few years back and he has since made his moves to Rosenborg and Ferencvaros. Today another Sarpsborg player Jonathan Lindseth, by many regarded as the best player this season in Norwegian Eliteserie, made his move to CSKA Sofia.

Signed up by newly appointed manager Sasa Ilic. A Serb and legendary player in his homeland playing on into his 40’s before becoming a coach at Cucaricki.

Jonathan Lindseth is one you could call a late bloomer as his presence in Norwegian football has been at a lower level and not really been seen in the top half of Norwegian football playing at Mjondalen for several seasons, and strangely let go by Odd after six goals in five league appearances for his first top club. His presence at Sarpsborg has been noticed in Europe and seeing him signed by CSKA Sofia makes you wonder how others have slept during this transfer window.

He is a hard working midfielder with pace and scoring abilities as he has shown during his days with Sarpsborg, scoring 18 goals in 101 league appearances.

We certainly will be following the progression as this could be a smart move for the player without a single cap for Norway and never been seen in talks regarding a place in that set-up.

So please notice this name and keep him on the radar as progression will be seen. Last season Leicester and CSKA Sofia both played Roma in Conference League and they are also in this competition this season.
