Former foxes and loan men in action as EFL and Scottish League clubs started their season this weekend

Tom Lawrence was on show as his Rangers did their job in the season opener vs. Livingston. He played on until the 84th minute. Livingston took the lead after just 5 minutes, but later on in 2nd half Rangers came back with two goals in the 72nd and 74th minute.

Jonny Hayes played for Aberdeen in their 0-2 defeat away to Celtic. EFL also opened their season this week as we take a further look for our relations.

George Thomas came on as a sub for Queens Park Rangers in their 0-1 loss away to Blackburn. Former Leicester caretaker manager and assistant Michael Appleton got a terrific start to his career at Blackpool as The Seasiders won their opener 1-0 at home to Reading.

Nigel Pearson and his Bristol City took the lead after 30 minutes vs. Hull, but Callum Elder, coming on after 73 minutes, as Tigers managed to turn things around and score two in 2nd half to secure a 2-1 home win. Matty James played all 90 minutes for The Robins.

Gary Rowett and his Millwall team came out winners 2-0 vs. Stoke City. Former Leicester youth prospect Sam Clucas was the only on show with a foxes link. Viktor Johansson was in goal for Rotherham in their
1-1 draw with Swansea City.

Josh Knight played the full game as Peterborough managed a strong 3-2 away win vs. Cheltenham. Oxford with Elliott Moore in their team did see a 1-0 defeat at Derby. Tom Hopper scored for Lincoln in their 1-1 draw with Exeter.

Steve Cotterill and his Shrewsbury started the season with a 0-0 draw away to Morecambe. 36 year old goalkeeper David Stockdale was in goal for Sheffield Wednesday as The Owls managed a 3-3 draw at home to Portsmouth.

Not the best of starts for Tyrese Shade and Jake Wakeling as the two new Swindon boys had to see a 3-0 defeat against Harrogate Town. Shade palyed all 90 minutes, Wakeling came on as a sub in the 64th minute.

The two loan men Ben Nelson and Khanya Leshabela played against each other when Rochdale took on Crewe in their opener. Crewe took home all three points with a 2-1 win. Both Nelson and Leshabela came on in 2nd half.
