Jamie Vardy new deal puts transfer rumour to bed as others pops up with focus moving to other Leicester forwards

Jamie Vardy has in the last month been linked to both Chelsea and Man Utd as the two clubs looked as potential places to move on for the veteran forward.

At the same time the talk of a new contract extension has been going on and today Leicester confirmed that they had got the deal extended to 2024.

This is good news and we hopefully will see Jamie Vardy going on for two more seasons, but this has again put other players in the shopping window and will most certainly lead to changes. Kelechi Iheanacho must be the patient man at Leicester as Brendan Rodgers makes him just a cover for Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy.

Today rumours fly as Kelechi Iheanacho is linked with Fenerbahce and a move could of course happen as the Nigerian international is eager to get more game time. Patson Daka looks as the first to call for if Jamie Vardy is taken off, so we just have to wait and see.

Great news though to see Jamie Vardy still putting value to Leicester and honouring the club badge as we do love to see him as a player going for special records, but we will not see him reach the top tally and reach the total goal record at the club as Arthur Chandler looks the impossible reach, 273 goals in 393 games is a fanastic amount. Jamie Vardy is on 153 goals to date and it was all done in 336 league games.

You never know with Jamie Vardy and with him in form he could make a new extension as he could still be eager to go on also after the age of 37.
