Brendan Rodgers and Leicester need new plan for recruitment as Man Utd midfielder could be possible next signing

Mirror reports today about a possible chance for James Garner to join Leicester, but we doubt that will happen. Youri Tielemans move to Arsenal could still be on after a long story regarding that affair.

Brendan Rodgers has a lot to consider as his group of midfielders needs to be reduced before adding any new players. Garner, if he comes in, will not be a definite start as KDH, Wilfred Ndidi and James Maddison is the trio to use. Bouba Soumare, Dennis Praet and Nampalys Mendy are all at the club and to then add Garner would be hopeless business.

James Garner spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and why did they go for other alternatives when strengthening their team. Garner (21) is a clever young midfielder and also a player with a good future, but still not regarded as a player close to the first team at Man Utd. Would be difficult to understand the use of £15million on such a project.

Garner could have been a good target if Leicester did have a position to fill but at this point a player signed for £40million is warming the bench, so this does not add up at all.

Brendan Rodgers looks as if he has no man management plan for certain players and Leicester cannot have them going around on grass without a sorted plan for each one of them. Constantly playing James Maddison out of position and moving him up on the flank is not the ideal idea and will not be what JM is looking for himself.

To sign Alex Smithies and release Eldin Jakupovic with a youngster such as Brad Young and Chituru Odunze available as a third choice makes no sense. Jakupovic could have stayed on, Odunze or Young could both be alternatives if a third choice had to be considered for first team duty.

To be able to compete with the best going forward you need to carefully handle individuals, be able to balance your squad and not just add players for the fun of it, it all looks a bit chaotic.
