OH Leuven made a very interesting signing this summer. 20 year old defender Ewoud Pletinckx joined the club from Zulte Waregem. The Belgian U.21 international is one to watch as his presence in the heart of the OH Leuven defense is noticed. He is on a four year deal at OH Leuven.

The signing for Wout Faes has emerged as a wonderful story. Timothy Castagne, Dennis Praet and Youri Tielemans are Belgians at Leicester today together with Faes. To build a special bond to a country were you also have sister club OH Leuven makes perfectly sence.

Belgium is a fantastic football nation and they bring forward talents of great skills. They do have players at the very highest level in England, Spain and Italy as their national team hopefully can fight for medals in Qatar.

We all know the risk of bringing too many African players to a club as they are all going to the Africa Nations Cup in the middle of the season, and to have more players from this continet can be a risk. We all know that going abroad is something needed and to locate your scouting in certain areas and even insde your own camp, might be a good solution.

Ewoud Pletinckx has integrated well and could be very close to a full international call up. He has this season played most games but recently getting injured, but hopefully he will recover soon from his head injury.

A tall player, 1.90, and to see such as massive man inside the Leicester penalty box alongside Wout Faes would be an interesting party as this could be the best defence pairing in English football in a year or two.

We have not yet seen a major move from OH Leuven to Leicester, as the Belgian sister club has been on a lower level, but Ewoud Pletinckx could be the first, we do hope Brendan Rodgers has noticed the progress and hopefully the next step could be Premier League with Leicester for the highly rated defender.
