Reports confirm that David Datro Fofona is close to a move to Chelsea. The Ivorian forward has been a sensational signing for Molde and seeing fees in the region of £10million for players in Norwegian League football is grand and major.
Leicester were mentioned as a possible destination for the Molde forward, but with Patson Daka, Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho all forwards and playing in a similar position as Fofana, this rumour looked a bit odd to be honest.
Fofana has been in great form for Molde and to see Graham Potter going after this talent makes sense. He did some fantastic signings during his days in charge at Brighton, picking players for moderate fees and making them great player of Premier League calibre.
We have seen how Cucurella, Trossard, Webster, Mac Allister, Bissouma and several other players has taken the Premier League level and shone in that Brighton team. Early days at Chelsea, but still the talents he picks will be just like Fofana, a typical Graham Potter move.
