Wout Faes is a Liverpool fan, but to “come home” and hear The Kop shouting “shoot” must be the worst nightmare

Wout Faes did say, a few years back, when playing for Oostende in Belgium, that he is a Liverpool fan and has been at Anfield to watch his favourite team. He must have looked forward to this game with great expectations, just to be out there and play at Anfield, might be a dream come through.

As a professional and full international player for Belgum, this should not affect him, but probably a bit star strucked as Mo Salah was so close to him. He should be up to it, but what a massive nightmare experience, the worst you would imagine, scoring two own goals.

Some compare Wout Faes with a certain David Luiz and surely we do see that the defender is not just a look a like with his curly hair, he also shows a bit of “black and white” perforamnces, which we also experienced with the Brazilian.

Faes was an unused sub for Belgium during the World Cup, and the tournament was a bit of a horror show as the Leicester players never managed to shine in Qatar. They have also returned a bit rusty with Youri Tielemans still unsure about his future, Timothy Castagne battling on and Wout Faes not really being at his best in the games vs. Newcastle and Liverpool.

Liverpool fans was of course happy about the way he helped his favourite team to a win, and everytime WF was in contact with the ball you could hear from the crowd, “shoot”.

This was a horror show again and hopefully one of the best players in the team before the World Cup break will get back to better performances, this cannot continue, even if you are a fan of the club you play against.

This will again be one of those great questions on a quiz night, who scored two own goals for Leicester vs. Liverpool, and not often Leicester players score 3 goals at Anfield, but that happened tonight.
