There are new names linked with Leicester day by day, but still difficult to see the pattern of the names linked. Today central defender Phil Jones from Man Utd and left back Victor Kristiansen from Copenhagen er two players said to be on the Leicester radar.

Since the start of December we have seen a great number of names linked, but still this is a difficult window and probably not the one to look for if you try to build your squad with a careful eye.

To see Phil Jones again being linked with Leicester, with little or no activity to show for in the last two to three seasons, makes grim reading and a risky alternative.

Another name that popped up today is Copenhagen left back Victor Kristiansen, of course one to consider, but still just a Danish U.21 international with just one proper season behind. He is a young and talented player, but we all know the level of the Premier League, and surely getting valued to £8million, it would be another risky signing.

Moves out looks a bit in limbo as well with players such as Ayoze Perez, Caglar Soyuncu and Dennis Praet all linked with moves to foreign clubs that in real cannot meet or equal wage demands. Perez, Soyuncu and Praet are all seen as possible departures in January, but will not leave if they do not feel the moves are correct.

Going into the summer, a number of Leicester players, such as Youri Tielemans, can move as free agents and the chance signing a new lucrative deal will be there for grabs.

We just have to wait and see if and when the snowball gets rolling of possible departures, as they will be of importance regarding a possible chance to get any players in.

Don’t miss out our hot, cool and cold overview of rumours and linked players.
