Officially confirmed, Dean Smith will lead Leicester out the season. Craig Shakespeare and John Terry will be part of his staff, that will also include the caretakers at this point, Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler.
With the decision to sack Brendan Rodgers so late in the season it was obvious that getting something sorted would have to be done at this time or even at an earlier point.
Different approaches said to have taken place over a week or so, and different news being leaked from wherever, makes it good to see this has found a final at some stage.
Leicester are just two points from safety, but Dean Smith and his team will not get the easiest start, playing Man City away as their first major test.
As TCF said earlier and with different messages coming in on Craig Shakespeare and his role and position, at this point he is also seen as a temporary appointment, but hopefully will look at a possible chance to stay on in a role if this current short term project will be stopped after the season ends.
What type of strategy that will take place from now on and until the end of the season by the board is still a guessing game, but we certainly hope it involves more than two former goalkeepers again being given the massive challenge to keep the boat floating in a new interim period, if a new project is set to be on the radar.
Dean Smith comes with a solid manager platform. He has earlier been in charge of Walsall, Brentford, Aston Villa and Norwich, leaving his last position at Carrow Road in December last year.
TCF is glad this hunt for a new interim manager has come to a conclusion and hopefully Dean Smith will be able to lead the club in the best way possible for the games left this season.
