Dean Smith had one message to his players, go out and win, this also reflected his line-up, playing Barnes, Iheanacho and Maddison in offensive roles.

He also gave Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall a chance from start, as his battling and good work ethic makes him valuable for those reasons.

Leicester came out controlled and in balance against a strong West Ham side, building up a number of good attempts early on.

Kelechi Iheanacho had his early chance hitting the bar.

Leicester scored the first goal after 34 minutes, after good combinations between Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho.

The result at Goodison Park was still 0-0, as hope of a survival grew in the stands and out on the field, first half ending with a Leicedter lead.

2nd half showed how Leicester again managed to fought back after a strong early period from West Ham. Leicester pushed on and from a Tielemans free-kick that was headed nicely by Wout Faes, Leicester were 2-0 up after 62 minutes.

From this time Leicester tried to control the game with a bit more defensive approach, bringing on Papy Mendy for KDH. West Ham pushed for a goal and gave minutes to Bowen and Ings both coming on from the subs bench.

Leicester defender Luke Thomas misses a pass snapped up and Mr, Ings made the most out of his chance, scoring for West Ham in the 79th minute.

Not much more happened as Leicester looked controlled for those last minutes in the game. Vardy had also entered the field and replaced Kelechi Iheanacho. Richard Pereira were also given minutes.

The mission of a win was accomplished as no more goals were scored and Leicester players had to wait for the result at Goodison Park, stayng on the field, waiting for the final whistle. Everton took the lead 1-0 in the 2nd half, Doucore scored, and a hope for a Bournemouth push never really appeared, as Leicester had to see relegation in their eyes.
