Enzo Maresca is the new first team manager of Leicester as we earlier today had clear and good sources on, so good to see this being settled and done for the club to move forward. Maresca has signed a three year deal.
He joins from Man City as he was part of a fantastic trebble win this season, being in the coaching staff under manager Pep Guardiola.
Enzo Maresca will start today and hopefully bring together a team of staff and players that can be competitive in the Championship and hopefully make the stay as short as possible.
Dean Smith, who we thought was a good alternative, if more “exotic” names would be unavailable, also received a farewell message on the also send his farewell message in the same moment it was clear that he was not the preferred candidate, so he will go to to other places. Craig Shakespeare and John Terry also looks to be out as we could see in the message.
So far no news about his coaching staff and who will stay and go among current men in those positions. So we just have to settle with Enzo Maresca and hope for the best, but this needs a few games to get TCF convinced and certain about this appointment.
