Liam Moore has made an emotional return to Leicester as he prepare for his next move in football. Moore (30) moved from Leicester in August 2016, joining Reading for a fee of £1.5million. He did played 59 league games for the club from 2011 to 2016, being involved in one EFL Cup fixture back in 2015/16, also having a loan to Bristol City, playing 10 league games while at Ashton Gate.
He has expressed his delight of being back at Leicester, training with the development squad as he prepares for his next step in football.
We have seen Danny Simpson given the same oppertunity in the past as well the happening with Jonny Evans at present being allowed back at Man Utd. Moore, born and bread Leicester, did well during a number of years at Reading, adding up 219 league games with The Royals, scoring 8 goals. Last season did see him move on and signed on loan for Stoke, but his time at Bet365 never became a full success, being involved in just 8 league games.
A few fun facts regarding Liam Moore is his involvement in the game playing alongside both Michael Morrison and Danny Drinkwater at Leicester and Reading. The current difficulties at Reading and their recent relegation to League One, as well as Liam’s own injury issues, makes it at this point difficult to see where he will end up.
The 30 year old could possibly sign a short term deal at Leicester to help the development squad as we have seen Danny Simpson and Dean Hammond in the past having similar roles, but at this point it just looks as he is enjoying life back at Leicester.
