The move of Stephy Mavididi to Leicester is done, and looks close to be officially announced tomorrow. The former Arsenal and Juventus forward will join from Montpellier for a supposed fee of 7,5million.

The news of this move going through will also see Kelechi Iheanacho most certainly sold to Everton. The talk of Kelechi Iheanacho and a possible departure has been there since the end of last season. Leicester might be looking for £15million, but a deal would probably go through for £12million.

Stephy Mavididi was born in Derby and has a past at several places, starting his football career at Southend, before moving to Arsenal and on to Juventus, before he in 2020 joined Montpellier in France.

The 25 year old is used to swop positions up front and can play either as a top forward or a flank man, and in that be a better alternative alongside Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy that both looks to be held at Leiceser for next season and not moved on.

There are still a few positions to fill to get the squad as best as possible, with a player not yet brought in to replace James Maddison. The creative offensive midfielder has yet to arrive with 20 year old Tunisia international Hannibal Mejbri (20) most possible.

Mejbri played last season on loan at Birmingham City, in that season playing 38 league games and scoring 1 goal, and having 5 assists. He is still very young and despite his age played 24 times for Tunisia, and before having France U.16 and U.17 caps to his name. A move to Leicester would be seen as a loan as Man Utd doubtly would sell him. The key question for Erik ten Hag is, will Mejbri be one he needs in his squad, or is a loan move to Leicester better for the future.
