The transfer of Turkey international Yunus Akgun was finally confirmed yesterday, with the delay explained.
Akgun played in the Champions League qualifier for Galatasaray against Molde, earlier in the week. He was expected to be confirmed as a Leicester player at an earlier stage, but injuries did see him needed as the mission was completed with a strong 3-2 win away.
Akgun will bring more competition for places up front, seen as a flank alternative, competing with McAteer, Mavididi, Albrighton and Marcal-Madivadua for places in that position.
There are still business to be done and a surprise to see Leicester losing out on Joel Piroe, who made his move from Swansea, signing for Leeds. The current role up front looks far from settled as the two, Vardy and Iheanacho, are being switched from game to game, both players on contracts ending next summer.
Patson Daka is currently seen as a selling option, but according to reports, Leicester are playing hardball and not leaving their plan of getting a fee in the region of £25million.
Interesting development to follow as Leicester continue their winning strike and push for promotion.
