There are still time to do transfer business, with a number of european countries still having their windows open. Belgium can trade until 6th of September. Anderlecht is said to have an interest in Jannik Vestergaard.

Anderlecht CEO, Jesper Fredberg, took on the role in January, as the former military sergeant and policeman has made a number of changes, and hopes to bring in Kasper Schmeichel as well.

Jesper Fredberg looks to build a Danish armada at Anderlecht. Head coach is Brian Reimer, brought in from Brentford, were he was Thomas Frank’s assistant. So far Riemer and Fredberg have recruited two other Danes, Kasper Dolberg, former Ajax forward, in from Nice. Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Delaney, has been brought in from Sevilla on loan. Highly rated winger Anders Dreyer came from Midtjylland in January.

Sacha Tavolieri is a well informed reporter on Belgian football and his latest comment on Jannik Vestergaard gives a view on the situation, so we just have to wait and see what will happen in the saga.

Leicester are in transition and Enzo Maresca is pragmatic and knows that getting Leicester in balance could see players leave as keeping them could be difficult. A bit surprised to see the big Dane linked away at this time, but possibly a chance for Jannik Vestergaard to get regular first team football at Anderlecht.

With Conor Coady back in contention and also having Harry Souttar, Ben Nelson and James Justin to be able to cover a role alongside Wout Faes you have enough players with quality to cover up. Callum Doyle is probably the best central defender of them all, and of course no problem for him to also play inside if needed.
