Paul Dickov rejoined Leicester for a second period and by doing that being one very special player as there few to do that, and he is to our knowledge together with Eddie Kelly the only have achieved such an act at this football club.

Signed from Man City in 2001 by Harry Bassett to bring in that energy needed to have hope of a survival, but it wasn’t to be and instead pushing for promoiton and by doing so managing to get back up in Premier League.

The Leicester legend in his last game for the club and the unlikely episode and appearance, No. 6 Jon Sammels

Jon Sammels never played in a final or picked up any medals as a Leicester player, but before with Arsenal and after with Vancouver Whitecaps, he appeared in finals and special events in football.

His last game for Leicester was in a FA Cup 3rd round win vs. Hull, it was on the 7th of January 1978 away at Boothferry Park. Frank McLintock, a prevous team mate of Jon at Arsenal, was the Leicester manager and two other Double winners from 1971 were also playing, Eddie Kelly and George Armstrong, all for Leicester. So four of Arsenal’s squad of 71 were either in charge or in the team.

Peter Shilton is one of the most iconic goalkeepers to have played in the game. His presence in the top flight lasted for four decades and he played a total of 1005 league games durng his career.

On top of his league appearances we did see another massive record with 125 caps for England including three World Cup inclusions.
