A number of changes back to the likely line-up, but still missing Kasey McAteer, who has been brilliant so far, giving the starting position to Abdul Fatawu. Jamie Vardy as captain, having Kelechi Iheanacho on the bench.

The squad is so strong for this level that Leicester can in real play two different teams and still be competitive, having Patson Daka, Kelechi Iheanacho, Conor Coady and Harry Souttar among the men on the bench.

Liverpool 3, Leicester 1, positives and negatives, player ratings and match report, Carabao Cup fixture

Leicester were through to the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup, facing a difficult task away at Anfield playing Liverpool. Burton and Tranmere were the previous opponents in this cup competition as it all were suspected to stop at this hurdle.

A new change of personel with 10 new players thrown into the mix from the 1-0 win at home to Bristol City, certainly did us all sceptical of anything else than defeat.

Leicester 1, Bristol City 0, positives and negatives, player ratings and match report, Championship fixture

Leicester were grand favourites for the three points in this home fixture vs. Bristol City.

Nigel Pearson, Matty James and Andy King were back at the club they once served, all of them very much involved when Leicester were last seen in this division.
