Again interim boss Dean Smith ringed the changes as an injury to Caglar Soyuncu made an opening for Jonny Evans to return to the team, and of course good to see him back. Ricardo Pereira got the chance to start, moving Timothy Castagne out left.

Also pushing James Maddison up alongside Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes looked as a clever operation and from start the team looked balance and in control, and on the front foot as they played Liverpool low at times.
