The Euro’s, Leicester City transfer targets and special moments with foxes relations in the middle!

Not only Danny Ward and Kasper Schmeichel coming up against each other in the Euro’s, looking at foxes relations. Of course a special happening when two goalkeepers from the same club play each other, representing two different nations in finals international tournament, something rarely or never really happening, but yesterday it was all in the open.

Two others that came up against each other with a past at Leicester City was Roberto Mancini and Aleksandar Dragovic, and what a drama, what a game, with the former Lazio and Sampdoria legend winning it all in the end, but all credit to the Red Star Belgrade defender that made the most out of the game with his team mates.

Roberto Mancini spent a short period of time at Leicester City, during the 2000/01 season and helping the club over the new years period, but after just four league games and one outing in the FA Cup it was all over, though his presence were seen and a bit mighty as his team mates struggled to be tuned with a player that had done it all and was on his ending, and then straight from his Filbert Street adventure taking over as manager of Fiorentina.

Aleksandar Dragovic spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Leicester City but didn’t really get a look in, and a pity really as he would have been a great alternative at the moment showing a clear and steady presence. Now on 94 caps for Austria at the age of 30, he will most certainly reach 100 if he continues in the national team. Dragovic played eleven league games while at the football club and never did look comfortable, but yesterday showing grit and being well balanced, fighting hard as Austria stunned Italy at moments during this game that went into extra time before it was all settled with a 2-1 win to Italy.

Today Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet will be in action and with the latter said to be looking for options during the summer and could be on his way back to Serie A in Italy. There were rumours also last summer, then Torino had their eyes on Praet but nothing happened. Youri Tielemans is also in demand and his star is rising with Liverpool said to be the front runner among the interesting clubs.

With Kasper through to the quarters, we all would of course be happy with an advancement of the two Belgians as well. Plenty to look forward to as the clash v. Portugal will be on later today. Among the players linked with Leicester City, Ben White of Brighton & Hove Albion is still in the tournament, but will probably not get much playing time for England as the tournament goes forward.

Other players previously linked with Leicester City still involved are Germany’s Robin Gosens, Denmark’s Mikkel Damsgaard, Joachim Andersen and Jannik Westergaard. Sweden midfielder Mattias Svanberg and Belgian Thorgan Hazard.

Exciting games to look forward to, we are following up on all players in a link with Leicester City.
