Jannik Vestergaard is a player that so far must be described as a misfit at Leicester, but over the years he has shown at Wolfsburg and Southampton and of course also in the Danish national team how fantastic he can be, getting the confidence and players alongside him that makes him a good option.

Today it was reported that Everton would be looking at a possible signing of the big Dane in the summer transfer window and it could be a blessing for all parties, especially the player himself.

Leicester do have a grand group of players available in the same position as Jannik Vestergaard and we know that Brendan Rodgers looks to Amartey, Evans, Fofana or Soyuncu first, if they are ready, and then game time can be very limited for Vestergaard next season.

We do believe that the recent rise in performances from Daniel Amartey will of course make it difficult to drop him from the team as his performances are top quality at the moment.

We have also seen recent talk about a possible James Tarkowski move on the radar in the summer with the player being available of a free transfer. The fact that you can see also a number of other defenders in the transfer rumour mill might give everyone an idea about the pecking order of Vestergaard.

Everton do have their troubles in defence and as we have seen Vestergaard is one player that for sure can get the ball out in the air and as well scoring goals from set pieces.

Interesting weeks coming up as the season goes into it’s final and from then on we will probably see a very busy summer for Leicester in the transfer market with players both leaving and coming in.
