Patson Daka looks to have won over Brendan Rodgers as he again makes the starting eleven in an important Premier League fixture. It’s a strong message to leave out Jamie Vardy who scored two just a few days ago.

Luke Thomas and Bouba Soumare are two other young players getting their starting place as well as Daniel Amartey who is in the team in front of captain Jonny Evans.

This is how managers makes their message clear as Patson Daka now gets a chance to cement his place in the line-up. He needs to deliver goals and take his chances, if not Jamie Vardy will be back up front. To have Jamie on the bench is also a special weapon as we all know how clinical he can be.

We do believe Jamie Vardy will be involved in the game and if Patson Daka can’t get his game right, no major risk, as Vardy will be pushed out on the field as a cover, but indeed this shows that Brendan Rodgers is willing to give Patson the games needed to really get his proper chance.

This is a bold move from the manager, but TCF is in favour of nursing forward talent, and it shows the belief he has in the young Zambian international.
