The coaching staff clear out continues under Enzo Maresca seeing Mike Stowell, Lars Knudsen and Adam Sadler all released from the club. Mike Stowell joined the club 18 years ago and his time as he has seen it all, and still survived every change since that day he arrived.
Adam Sadler is also one that has been with the club for a while joining the club in the 2nd period of Nigel Pearson’s time as manager. He has since worked under Claudio Ranieri, Craig Shakespeare, Claude Puel, Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith.
Lars Knudsen joined the club just a few months ago, to take charge of set piece challenges, which had been a problem for the first team for a long period of time, but his contribution did not have the effect needed as we all know ended in relegation.
This season Sadler and Stowell had a dreadfull two games in interim charge, losing both, as they were called on when Brendan Rodgers was shipped out. But still both men worked hard and were committed during their days at the club. Mike Stowell worked with a number of goalkeepers, and must be especially happy with the progress of Kasper Schmeichel as the Dane evolved heavily under the time the two worked together.
This new regime under Enzo Maresca, is not officially confirmed as the only name that has been said to be part of the new coaching regime is Roberto Vitiello, but he has not been officially confirmed. There are just a few weeks left to pre-season starts and it will be interesting to see how this new staff will be put together.
We would have thought the transfers of Conor Coady and Harry Winks had been confirmed by now, but still no official talk about the two players said to have arrived. But both looks certain and we are waiting for the news to be officially confirmed.
