Today we got clear indications that Wilfred Ndidi looks to be on the way out of Leicester, and with talks about Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei joining on loan, you might see the picture.
Wilfred Ndidi are among players taking a huge pay cut on his running contract, being regulated to the half as the club has been relegated. He is also close to the end of his deal, expiring next summer.
Chelsea are said to be keen on Ndidi as well as hearing about interest from Liverpool who looks to add Fabinho to the list of a number departures. Ndidi has also been seen as a player on a list of Saudi Arabian clubs, but still no approach.
Watching the first Leicester pre-season friendly today, Ndidi was left out of the starting eleven, as well as being placed in a very awkward role almost as a second striker for the latter minutes of the game, getting close to a goal and contributing in a very positively way as Leicester won the game 1-0.
Celtic and his former boss Brendan Rodgers might be interested, but cannot afford to pay PL salaries and are not competing at this transfer tier, despite having a manager that would love to have Ndidi in his team.
Enzo Maresca is far from finished with his transfer business, but at this point do have no other option than to keep players on their toes and as long as they are under contract have to play them during pre-season.
Sad to see Wilfred Ndidi leaving and follow James Maddison out the door at the club. We are also waiting for the departures of Timothy Castagne and Harvey Barnes, and hopefully things will calm down after those transfers.
Harry Winks is the player signed to fill the gap after Ndidi, but he will not be of the same calibre, hopefully doing the job as well as you can expect, goodbye Wilfred, been a pleasure to watch you, since joining as far back as 2017, being the last player signed by Claudio Ranieri.
