Trey Nyoni is a 16 year old talent who last season made his breakthrough in the U.18 set up at Leicester. Why the club decided to let him leave, or give the youngster an option to do so, is a major riddle.

Nyoni made a move to Liverpool this summer and they are excited at Anfield to be able to work further on his development to bring him into the first team set up when he is ready.

Trey joined Leicester at the age of 6, and why it was important for him to move on at this point, away from a place the have nursed forward a grand group of young players that we have seen taking the step into the first team, played at different England youth levels and as a established first teamers been sold to other clubs for major fees.

Nyomi did start in the best way possible at Liverpool, scoring a hat-trick in a 10-0 friendly win vs. Southend. Still eary doors, but also strange to see this happening at a stage were the club do have probably other priorities.

Leicester must have rated the youngster highly, as they nursed him into the U.18 set up last season, playing 13 league games, scoring 2 goals in the highest tier of the English league system. Nyoni made his league debut for Liverpool in 1-6 defeat to Crystal Palace, so it can go both ways. Liverpool are playing in the North set up, as Leicester, at the same level, are in group South.

Liverpool are 4th with 6 points in 3 games, so a strange result vs. Crystal Palace, also seeing Nyoni taken off after 63 minutes. Leicester are 7th in their league, 4 points in 3 games.
