Loan men and ex players in action as Mansfield 9-2 win becomes highlight with happenings abroad also among headlines

Lewis Brunt looks to be one player that has taken his loan chance with both hands, showing great form as his Mansfield Town are fighting for promotion, at present 2nd in the table on 60 points 2 less than leaders Stockport. Brunt was in the team that recently defeated Harrogate 9-2 in a league match.

Bouba Soumare is at the moment shining for Sevilla, being in the team getting a 0-0 draw away to Valencia in their recent outing. So far the Leicester loan man has been on the field in 16 league games.

Liam Moore has also got off to a good start at Northampton, coming on as a sub in his two games so far, a 2-2 draw away to Oxford and a 3-1 home win vs. Bristol Rovers.

Cape Town City manager Eric Tinkler gave Khanya Leshabela his debut in a cup game vs. SuperSport, ending in defeat, not being the perfect start as Leshabela missed his penalty in the shoot outs, after a 1-1 draw at full time, the game lost after penalties, 3-1.

Ben Mee played the full game for Brentford in their 0-1 defeat to Man City. Mee (34) is among the most experienced players in the top flight, as his presence for The Bees will be important in the run in of the season.

Victor Johansson had to take four ball out of the net when his Rotherham were defeated 4-3 away to Ipswich. The Millers took an early lead, and fought back after Ipswich had scored three, equalizing to 3-3 four minutes into stoppage time, but their battle lost a minute later as the tractor boys secured another important win in the race for Premier League promotion.

West Bromwich are in impressive form securing a 3-0 win away to Plymouth. Cedric Kipre played the full game for The Baggies as his presence again was important. Michael Keane was an unused sub in the 1-1 clash between Everton and Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans were both in action when Man Utd defeated Luton 2-1 at Kenilworth Road. Evans came of the subs bench at the break, replacing Maguire. Ben Chilwell captained Chelsea when they on Saturday drew 1-1 with Man City.

James Maddison played 85 minutes in Spurs 1-2 defeat to Wolves. Harvey Barnes started the game for Newcastle in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, being replaced in the 67th minute. Matty James on the field for Bristol City in their disastrous 0-1 home defeat vs. QPR. Andy King was an unused sub in the game.

Andrej Kramaric played the full game for Hoffenheim in their 0-1 home defeat to Union Berlin. Hoffenheim are currently 9th in the Bundesliga table. Tyrese Shade played the full game for Swindon in their 2-2 home draw with Colchester.

Paul Appiah, currently on loan at Maidstone, will miss the FA Cup clash with Coventry, as he has to serve a suspension after being sent off in a game vs. Avely. The 21-year-old has played in the past three rounds as Maidstone produced three upsets to beat Barrow, Stevenage and then City’s Championship promotion rivals Ipswich, to become the lowest-ranked side to make the last 16 since 1977-78.
