Birmingham looks to be sweet on ex Leicester players as they now have turned to Gary Rowett to replace Mark Venus, who was in an interim position, as current manager Tony Mowbray are on a leave for medical reasons. The club have not been able to win a single game under with Mark Venus in charge.
Gary Rowett has a long relationship with The Blues, being at the club as a player and also previously leading the club from Oct 14 to Oct 16, he was latest manager at Millwall until Oct 23.
This season so far looks a massive struggle for The Blues. They will come to visit Leicester on the 6th of April. They have changed manager five times and it looks a bit out of order.
Gary Rowett is on a short term deal, as the return of Tony Mowbray is not known at this time. Gary Rowett knows the Championship being in charge of clubs such as Stoke, Millwall, Birmingham and Derby at this level in the past.
We wish Gary Rowett all the luck he can get, but on the 6th of April, playing his team at King Power vs. Leicester, we will not be happy if he gets anything with him home, but having the QPR game in mind, everything is possible.
Gary Rowett joined Leicester from Birmingham in 2000, for a fee of £3million. He was the first first signing of Peter Taylor. Two years later he left for Charlton in a £3,5million deal. Rowett played 49 league games and scored 2 goals while at Leicester.
