Leicester manager Steve Cooper will go into the next three games with a special eye on results as it could be crucial for his future at the club, playing Southampton, Forest and Ipswich and possibly coming out of those games with 7 points could in real be enough to stay up. This will in a way settle the standards of this team and potential, with more fun and changes to appear when the January transfer window opens.
The squad as we see it is not good enough to take the steps back to were Leicester were a few seasons ago, but with news about a special return in place, we could see the team becoming better.
Steve Cooper is a man of action as we all know. He totally turned Forest around when taking over, building a team of good strengths, to take them to promotion as well winning that FA Cup 4th round game against Leicester, being the holders that season. Cooper is a man who knows his transition, turning most of his squad into a totally different one for the next season, as promotion was reached.
This will see Steve Cooper also active in the January transfer window as he identifies his weakest link, the left back position, to adjust his climb towards safety as we all have a bit of knowledge about after the next three or four games.
Ben Chilwell is identified as one player that could be interesting to bring on a loan for the rest of the season with a chance to join permanent by the end of the season. Leicester will in real need a major sale to bring in players for substantial fees, but a loan deal could be possible, but there are hurdles.
The fact that Leicester do have Odsonne Eduoard and Facundo Bounanotte on loan, makes it difficult to bring in more players on loan, because Premier League clubs, may not register more than two players on loan at one time. The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
This could of course be possible, but then one of the loan deals for Bounanotte or Eduoard has to be cut short with a return to their club. Ben Chilwell is also linked with a good number of other clubs. Napoli and Man Utd are two of those clubs. Chilwell is not the only Chelsea player that could be on his way to Leicester, as the relations between the two clubs and previous business could see them in action again together. There have been talks about a return transfer for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as his move to Chelsea looked one to settle the books at Leicester, with a potential return deal to happen, that would be a dream scenario.
The move for Enzo Maresca looks a good one for Chelsea, but hopefully there is more to come in the saga of transfers between the two clubs.
Wout Faes and Harry Winks are two players linked with other clubs. Faes being linked with a move to Tottenham far back and Winks being said to be an option for Man Utd to consider.
Boubakari Soumare and Patson Daka are two other players that could be seen as potential sales in the January transfer window, but still far from certain they will attract clubs who can pay their salary as well as a substantial transfer fee.
To follow up on all different transfer rumours regarding incoming players, never miss out on our, hot, cool and cold update, as rumours will appear from now and until the January transfer window close.
