To see games being scheduled and prepared are always a thrill. We have just got the next seasons EFL Championship fixture list announced. A few hours later, we know Leicester will play Huddersfield away in The 1st round of Carabao Cup.
There are a few former Leicester players who have turned out for The Terriers. Five of them are Danny Ward, Frank Worthington, Andy King, Iwan Roberts, and Ben Chilwell.
This season we do have a new concept for The Carabao Cup. The clubs are devided in two. The groups are based on geography, split in a north and south group. Leicester are in the north.
Premier League clubs will attend the competition in the 2nd and 3rd round, depending on their European Cup Competition schedule.

Looking back, Leicester have great tradition in this competition. They have won this cup three times. 1964, 1997 and 2000. They also reached the final in 1965 and 1999. In most recent years, they have been stopped either in the semi or the quarterfinals. Last season they came into play in the 2nd round, facing Tranmere (4-0). They later defeated Walsall (0-0, 3-0) in the 3rd round, winning on penalties. Then in the round of the last 16, coming up against Man Utd away. Leicester were defeated 5-2.
This game vs. Huddersfield will be commencing 11 August. Round two will be commencing 25 August.
