The Leicester women team will finish at the bottom of the WSL this season. Their last two fixtures can’t change that. Alisha Lehmann and her teammates could still stay up. They are handed a lifeline with a qualification game against the team finishing 3rd in the second tier.
According to BBC, Leicester only have to win that play-off game and they will play in the WSL next season. The number of teams in the top tier will be extended from 12 to 14 teams.
