Leicester are allready linked with four potential new signings with Real Madrid forward Isco among those names. The Spanish international is not a certain starter at the moment and might seek other options with Leicester listed among those interested.

Reports are also that Hull City forward Keane Lewis-Porter is on a short list of targets. The young forward has impressed in Championship this season, scoring two in eleven games so far. The 20 year old might fit the pattern in what Leicester are really looking for.

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto is another player that is rumoured to be a close target and if Youri Tielemans or James Maddison are both on the way out, this would be a good fit as Leicester have to find alternatives in that area.

TCF believe it will be little or no chance to get Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich, but facts are that the German international need a more clear view on his future as his international career will be a bit in danger without regular game time week in and week out. He is still reported to be a possible new signing, so ok, if that happens, no one will complain.

There will of course be a long list of names also in January and surely a move or two could happen, but we all believe that Newcastle will be looking in and be part of a chase regarding Leicester targets as they will be eager to get their squad at least to a level that a mid table in the first place is secured.

We could see also Newcastle making approaches for players at Leicester. They are allready linked with Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho and will fly into another territory as they now will be able to approach players with higher wage demands and transfer fees.

Late business done at Leicester with one player leaving and still other options to consider among free agents

Finally Sidnei Tavares made his move after a number of different clubs being seen as interested, but in the end Tavares returned back home and signed for Porto. Sadly not able to hold on to the talent which could become one of Europe’s best players and certainly a future Portugal international, sad day really.

Though Leicester did one more signing in Ademola Lookman and of course delighted to see that season loan move going through. A player in progress that has not yet reached his best level and with Leicester have the opportunity to go further and become more successful.

The fact that the club looks for a central defender option and could consider one more move makes it interesting to look at players available and see who could fit in as a cover of those injured players.

Another surprise is the situation with Filip Benkovic, were is he in the picture and accordingly not a player good enough for Premier League action. Ben Nelson is the next player on the list, but still only 17 and probably not yet either a Premier League alternative.

Benkovic has been out on loan on several occasions, and had a couple of appearances in pre-season. He has also in previous seasons been at Celtic, Bristol City, Cardiff and Leuven. He might have a fitness issue not even involved in the Leicester U.23’s.

His contract is running until June 23, and then it’s a bit of a riddle that the 24 year old is not really seen as an alternative at all and not able to find a club to get a loan switch, we just hope that the Croatian international will get back in the picture and get rated.

Looking at the list of available players we do have a grand group of good defenders with Spurs right back Serge Aurier on top of this list with a value of £20million stipulated. Two players that could have been perfect signings for Leicester are former Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi who was available on a free, but has decided to join Torino, and sadly not even been mentioned Jerome Boateng moving from Bayern Munich to Lyon also being released at the end of last season. The two German internationals was never seen as possible targets.

Few or no one are much interested in Jack Wilshire either, still possible to sign for free, but believed to soon find a new club being in training with Italian Serie B club Como. He would have been a sensational back up to have in a squad as his qualities when fit are up to top Premier League standard.

With Scott Dann no longer an alternative Dimitris Siovas, a Greek international at the age of 32, might fit the picture of a cover sentral defender. He has earlier played for Panionios, Olympiacos, Legranes and Huesca, being a team mate of Shinji Okazaki, who has also been on the move and joined Cartagena.

Nicolas Nkoulou is a brilliant player that left Torino this summer, and at 31 still one to look at. The Cameroon international with 75 caps to his name could of course go straight into a Leicester side as a fringe or rotation alternative. He is chased by a number of Serie A clubs with Genoa and Sampdoria both keen to do business.

Takihiro Tomiyasu was a late signing at Arsenal, Leicester missing out on the 22 year old Japan international. He was a late link, but as we did see joined another Premier League club. A player to look at is central defender Rodrigo Ely also available on a free after leaving Alaves in Spain. The Italian / Brazilian could be a good alternative in the back, could be on his way to Brazil and Flamengo.

Strange to see that Leicester this summer has not been much interested in players of this type and another name that did occur is of coure David Luiz and we do now his skills and as a possible cover it would be a good alternative allthough he might be too expensive and expected probably more game time than Leicester can offer.

We have now added possible central defenders who are free agents on our list, so again have a new look at our hot, cool and cold update.

The move for Ademola Lookman looks settled as latest reports suggests that the player is eager to join and get his career back on track. Lookman had a positve loan season with Fulham and among those lifting the roof at Craven Cottage at times to give fans a hope for survival.

He has also shown his talent over a number of years with Everton and Charlton previously and will of course give Brendan Rodgers more depth and better selection options going into a great number of competitions this season including the Europa League games which of course is thrilling for Ademola Lookman.

Dennis Praet will certainly be leaving with Torino close to complete the move firstly agreed as a loan but we cannot see why it will not become a permanent deal, with the Serie A being a place Praet previously have shown his skills and cleverness.

Hamza Choudhury is said to be close to a move to Newcastle, a link that has been there for a long time and ever since January. Steve Bruce is a keen admirer and on his best days Hamza is a good player with a Premier League spirit. There are still not any certainty in this rumour, and it’s been a bit on and off as the days have gone by, we just have to wait until the very end if this can be settled or not.

To see Chelsea accept a bid from Leicester on Hudson-Odoi would be a mega surprise with Borussia Dortmund hopeful of landing the England international, with a deal close, but it is a difficult one as Thomas Tuchel is eager to keep his talented winger, so Hudson-Odoi could be staying at Stamford Bridge.

Young midfielder Sidnei Tavares who has yet to agree on a new deal at Leicester and at this moment is out of contract and has been chased by a number of clubs, with Parma of Serie B said to be the leaders of the pack.
