Leicester City are currently front runners in the chace for Real Madrid misfit Luka Jovic. Jovic (22) joined Galacticos last summer but struggled to settle in. Jovic played impressively on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt before his move to Spain and the Serbia international could be a perfect signing.
A fee of around £30million is mentioned and with another £25million most certainly to be spend on William Carvalho it could be that this duo of La Liga talent would be joining.
This would start new speculations about Ben Chilwell and his possible exit and with Manchester United joining the race it might close to happening. Chilwell has earlier been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester City but an asking price of £75million might scare them off.
Manchester United could easilly meet Leicester City’s demand as they did with Harry Maguire and then this would fund the signings for Jovic and Carvalho with also money available for a left back alternative that could be one of many with young Wigan defender Antonee Robinson seen as a clear front runner. Robinson (22) has just made his full international debut for USA and has a past at Everton’s academy.
With Christian Fuchs also available that has position will be well covered. A number of other names are also been linked with the likes of Nicolas Tagliafico (Ajax), Kiernan Tierney (Arsenal) and Robin Gosens (Atalanta) all mentioned as possible replacements for Ben Chilwell.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers are looking for options to let a great number of players leave, but with high wage demands and current lucrative contracts running it could be difficult to get players out with Ben Chilwell an exception and possibly the only solution to bring in enough funds and finance the signings of Jovic, Carvalho and a new left back alternative.
