The sale of Ben Chilwell was obviously happening, but so far no new players have arrived and it could be, as we wrote yesterday, few new faces coming in, with Odsonne Edouard now also looks as slipping with an insane price tag to his name.
To pay £40million for a player who is, no offense, playing in a league with minor quality and not yet proven himself at the highest level, would be a tall experiment. The recent experience for Celtic v. Ferencvaros it’s not really boosting confidence either and then to go out and buy one of their players for that monumental fee would not be wise.
When selling Ben Chilwell for a lower fee than expected, you cannot go out and splash the cash on someone you are not certain would get into the starting eleven, so we believe that we will not see a number of big changes at all, but that said, moves could happen.
Fans demand action and they love a new face, but at Leicester City at the moment we just have to be patient and trust Brendan Rodgers in his verdicts and values as he moves the club forward.
Norwegian international Omar Elabdellaoui has left Olympiakos and joined Turkish club Galatasaray, earlier also seen linked with Leicester City, but the former Hull City loan man is now ready for new adventures. Earlier today it was also announced that Juventus have secured the services of Weston McKennie, so the Schalke 04 and USA international midfielder is now moved to “lost”.
A couple of names are now on the rise to the “hot” section, and we have updated our “hot, cool and cold” list, don’t miss out this Sunday morning.
