The fixtures of next season is yet to be announced, will be so on the 23rd of July and of course excitement in the wait for those games coming up. Leicester will for the first time in their clubs history field a team in the top flight of women.

Ashleigh Plumptre is the star of the squad previously been on the books at Notts County and LA Galaxy, joining in front of last season and born in Leicester. She has been capped at most England youth levels and at this time part of the u.23 set up.

Another player that hopefully will mark her name in the top flight is Natasha Flint, a prolific goalscorer who netted 17 goals in 20 games last season. The 24 year old joined from Blackburn last summer and her tally with Rovers was one to notice, 70 goals in 66 games. She has earlier played for Fylde Ladies and Man City, and it will be exciting to see how Flint will cope with Leicester and her top flight return.

The team that last season was heavily upgraded with King Power coming in on the owners side and integrated the women into the big picture. The women team will still be playing their home games at Quorn, Farley Way Stadium.
