We all knew it would be difficult to field a competitive line-up and we have trolled and turned our heads to try to figure out what Brendan Rodgers would do and many different suggestions seen never managed to figure this line-up out.
Lewis Brunt is a 21 year old defender or has been this season coming in from Aston Villa. He has been a pivotal player in the U.23 line-up and a bit more experienced than Ben Nelson who was seen as an alternative and certainly been given his chances to train, being around the first team and also for games been named on the bench as he also is today.
Danny Ward is the starting goalkeeper, with Kasper Schmeichel and Jacub Stolarszyk both in the squad as it marks the siutation naming two goalkeepers on the bench. Dailey Vonta-Campbell is in so is Marc Albrighton named captain on the day.
Lewis Brunt has been playing regularly in the U.23 set up but is a defensive midfielder who also have played in the back at times. Covering in midfield in front of a three men defense against Leeds in his last appearance for the U.23’s, winning the game 3-1. In a previous meeting with Liverpool he was playing as one of three in the back line.
Looking up the biography on Lewis Brunt you will find him with the same agent company as Federico Valverde playing for Real Madrid, Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Nathan Ake from Man City, and also representing Borussia Dortmund duo Giovanni Reyna and Raphael Guerreiro, all being connected to the Wasserman agent system.
Lewis Brunt is a tall player at 1.87m, and has previously been on loan at non-league club Gloucester. We wish him all the best on his debut in the Leicester first team. We will of course be excited by the new faces as they get a chance to play alongside more experienced players and today being seen as the best option available.
A young bench will be of interest as well with earlier debutant Kasey McAteer, England U.18 captain Sammy Braybrooke, Wanya Marcal and 16 year old Will Alves all in there.
